For any ICT related queries or issues please check out the ICT Self Help site. Link on the right of this page or from the Student Home page.
If you are employed by the University (e.g. as a sessional assistant) you will need to log in to the Aku Mahi portlet to access your timesheets, pay slip and change you personal employment details.
PLEASE NOTE: If you also have a staff account/username you will need to log in to iWaikato with your staff username and password - then go to Aku Mahi - the student portlet with your student log-in will not allow you access.
Restore Deleted Files
Backups of the files that are saved to your schools share or your Home share (H: drive) are made daily at various times of the day and night. If you have accidently deleted a file, or overwriiten a previous file that you would like back you can now get these files back yourself. See here how to do this.
Student Computer Labs
There are general student labs on campus that are available for all students. Faculties also have labs that are only available for students enrolled in their courses.
The Library Student Centre consists of 3 student labs over 3 floors of the Library - Levels 2, 3, and 4. The hours that these areas are available varies, as does the availability of support staff. Only currently enrolled students can log onto these computers.
All labs in the Library are supported 8:30am to 5:00pm. If there is no one at the desk you will be able to reach someone by using the phone provided on each level - Button 1. After hours students should see the Level 2 Information Desk for basic assistance.
Check Lab Availability here
Students who can't find any available seats in the general labs should seek out a computer lab at their own schools.
