Access
You will need a computer account in order to access computers on the campus network. You will be required to abide by the University of Waikato Computer System Regulations
Aku Mahi
If you are employed by the University (e.g. as a sessional assistant) you will need to log in to the Aku Mahi portlet to access your timesheets, pay slip and change you personal employment details.
PLEASE NOTE: If you also have a staff account/username you will need to log in to iWaikato with your staff username and password - then go to Aku Mahi - the student portlet with your student log-in will not allow you access.
More internet for students
Free student internet allowances are now 1.5GB per month. The cost of additional internet usage is now $5/GB, and students have 90 days to use these top ups. Read more

Returning students may find a few things in different places this year when going to iWaikato. We have created a FAQs page so you can find where some of the more common tasks and info is located.
Printing Credits
The Service Desk does not accept or process requests for printing credits/refunds received directly from students. Read more
Restore Deleted Files
Backups of the files that are saved to your schools share or your Home share (H: drive) are made daily at various times of the day and night. If you have accidently deleted a file, or overwriiten a previous file that you would like back you can now get these files back yourself. See here how to do this.
